In an emotional 60 Minute Makeover, Feather and Weave's 'Yeats' Pink Chenille chair helps to transform a dark, heavy bedroom into a soft, more welcoming space to enjoy spending time in.
Interior designer Kathryn Rayward and the team travelled to Runcorn, Cheshire, to transform Rita's home. Rita has had a tough few years and the 60 Minute Makeover team were contacted by her daughter, grandson and neighbour to help transform her home as a thanks for her selflessness and dedication to her family.
Kathryn is a successful interior designer who runs a design firm in the UK and France, helping to add that missing 'je ne sais quoi' which Rita’s home was crying out for. The 60 Minute Makeover team took over Rita's house and helped to update her rooms into well designed, comfortable, stylish spaces from their dull beginnings.
One of the main design focuses was in Rita's main bedroom which she would habitually give to any guests so they would feel more comfortable in her home, while Rita and her husband would retreat to the smaller bedroom. Kathryn wanted to make the main bedroom a sanctuary for Rita, a space that would be her own.
Taking design influence from Rita's love for Irises, Kathryn created a softer, more feminine room, getting rid of the overpowering dark furniture and replacing them with more beautiful, refined pieces to complete the room, including our Yeats Pink Chenille Armchair. Kathryn described our gorgeous Yeats armchair which they used in the main bedroom; "It's from a company in Northern Ireland who are the loveliest, most helpful, friendly company ever called Feather and Weave and basically they make all of these beautiful handcrafted chairs… sofas, whatever you like! This one is covered in Fuchsia Chenille by Ross fabrics, it has a beautiful beechwood frame and hand upholstered"
Rita's daughter assures that she will enjoy our Yeats chair, "She's going to LOVE it! It’s to die for. It's gorgeous!"
